MUMBAI: Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Ajit Thakur has put in his papers at the company. Thakur joined Multi Screen Media as the business head of its general entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television from 1 July.
Thakur steps into the shoes of Albert Almeida, who put in papers at the company in March this year during the major executive churn at the channel.
Thakur reported to Balaji Telefilms group CEO Punnet Kinra. At the time of filing this story, Thakur was unavailable for comment.
A Balaji Motion Pictures spokesperson, however confirmed the news to Businessofcinema.com saying, "Ajit has moved on to what he believes is a better opportunity outside of Balaji Telefilms Limited. We wish him all the very best for his future assignment."
Additionally, Balaji Motion Pictures has also roped in Gaurav Bakshi as a senior consultant a week back. He will be responsible for putting together movie projects for the company.
