MUMBAI: Pratik Basu joins B.A.G Films and Media limited as executive director.
Basu has over three decades of experience in marketing, advertising and media. Starting his career in sales with a Tata Company, he moved to consumer product marketing with The Gramophone Company of India as their national marketing manager, before starting a 10-year stint in advertising with HTA and Lintas.
He left advertising to join the media entertainment business, as CEO, Buena Vista Television India, the Walt Disney Company’s first joint venture in the world, a position he held for the next 10 years.
Basu says, “It’s exciting to be associated with BAG Films and Media’s television network project because, simply put, it’s backed by a unique idea for content aggregation and enough experience and resources – both talent and financial – to realize the full potential of that idea. I see BAG emerging as a significant player in the broadcast business in the next 18 to 24 months.â€
