The BIG Entertainer Awards 2010, is a platform for honoring and recognizing talent from across various genres – from movies to music, from television to theatre. The awards will be promoted across 36 Hindi speaking markets. The cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Kanpur and Indore will also see promotions through activations, digital platforms and out of home.
Entertainment talent from across the country through various categories of entertainment will be honored for the year 2009 – 2010, including BIG Entertainer – film actor, actress, movie, musician, playback singer, television personality, theatre personality and dancers. These awards will also include a special category called the BIG Decade Entertainer in different fields like BIG Entertainer Decade – actor, actress, director, film, music, playback, phenomenon, etc.
The selection process for the nomination of these awards will happen entirely through public nominations and voting, no jury or pre-determined nominations, and will be divided into 2 phases. In the initial phase, the audiences will be asked to send the nomination entries of their favorite entertainer in the respective categories. The final phase will include voting for the best entertainer from the top 3 nominated entries which will be selected from across the country. Voting will happen through IVRS, mobile, ballot boxes and the BIG Entertainer Website, where the audiences can view the categories.
