MUMBAI: After sizing up the Indian home video and music market, Reliance ADAG’s BIG Music and Home Entertainment is now planning to foray into two other verticals.
The first division will be related to talent management called BIG Talent. The second vertical will be Big Music Publishing.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, BIG Music and Home Entertainment CEO Kulmeet Makkar says, "Under BIG Talent we are looking at signing up performers like singers, dancers, emcees, DJs, VJs, RJs, TV and film actors etc. and building them as brands. Under BIG Music Publishing, we will sign up music directors and lyricists to manage and administer their intellectual property rights (IPR). This is an international model."
However, Makkar was quick to add that the working arrangements of deals were currently being worked out and an official announcement is slated to be made at a later date.
