MUMBAI: BIG Pictures will be using the services of independent film distributor Rajesh Thadani for three films.
The association begins with BIG Pictures’ upcoming release Luck By Chance, which is co-produced by Excel Entertainment.
BIG Pictures distribution head Kamal Gianchandani informs that the services of Thadani’s office at Naaz will be used by BIG Pictures and the company has rented his set-up. "BIG Pictures has a strong distribution set up and we are fully equipped to distribute movies in the Bombay territory. Rajesh is not our consultant, we are only using his office since we don’t have one at Naaz."
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Thadani said, "These movies will be released via the BIG Pictures banner and their team. They will be using my office for distributing three movies starting with Luck By Chance."
Prior to this, Thadani was a consultant with Nimbus Motion Pictures. However, the association had ended in April this year.
Luck By Chance stars Farhan Akhtar, Konkona Sen Sharma along with Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Isha Sharvani and Sanjay Kapoor and is directed by Zoya Akhtar. The movie is slated to release on 30 January, 2009.
