The telecast of the movie will begin at midnight of 21 December and continue as back-to-back shows for an entire month. BIG TV has the rights to telecast the movie everyday for an entire month.
An entire family can view the film on BIG TV at a price of Rs 100. BIG TV consumers will have access to the film from the time they subscribe through till midnight and can watch every show telecast till mid-night.
"The emerging DTH sector is opening new revenue opportunities for film-makers. Over the last few years, the satellite rights have emerged as a key revenue generator. Going forward, new media like mobile content, gaming etc…; and DTH pay-per-view will be key streams for film makers to generate revenues. We are in discussions with a lot of producers for DTH rights and are also exploring the option of exclusive DTH rights with some of the producers," said BIG TV DTH president Mahesh Prasad.
BIG TV is launching a SMS campaign amongst its subscribers to promote the telecast of the film. The campaign will be executed in three phases across the month and in each phase there will be exciting prizes to be won.
