MUMBAI: After Khoya Khoya Chand, scriptwriter – director Sudhir Mishra is ready with his next film titled Sikandar, which he is co-producing with BIG Pictures.
The film is directed by Piyush Jha. Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Jha said, "Sikandar is a suspense thriller. It’s a story of a 14 year old schoolboy – Sikandar who lives in Kashmir. One day, on his way home from a school football match, Sikandar finds a gun lying on the path, which changes his life forever."
The film stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Suri along with child actors Parzaan Dastur and Ayesha Kapoor.
BIG Pictures spokesperson says, "The film has been made in a budget of Rs 80 – 100 million (Rs 8 – 10 crores). As far as the release goes we are yet to take a call on the kind of release, it could be either above 300 or below 300 prints, it’s too early to comment on that."
The film is slated to release on 27 March, 2009.
