The chap stick will be available in the market in four flavours namely – Tangy Orange, Yummy Mango, Bubble Gum and Sinful Chocolate from November 2011.
The market share in India for lip care is Rs 560 million (Rs 56 crore). With the launch of this new product Emami aims to capture 7% of the market share. As a part of the contract, Basu will feature in a commercials, the first of which will hit the TV channels within the next few days.
Emami director Priti Sureka said, "Vasocare is committed in bringing the best possible experience to all our consumers. Over the years we have given patient hearings to feedbacks regarding what kind of moisturizer would work best for the consumer and how. Now, taking a note of their demand we have used Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Tulsi, Olive oil and Wheat germ oil to produce this lip balm. We expect our chap stick to be a huge hit among people of all ages, cutting across all social barriers and locations."
Sureka added, "When it came to selecting the right brand ambassador for Vasocare, the choice was unanimous. It had to be Bipasha Basu. She is an irresistible concoction of sophistication, exuberance, seduction and serenity."
