Bollywood movie blog plans online film fest

MUMBAI: Movie blog – Passionforcinema.com, which celebrates one year soon, is planning an online film festival.


The blog has regular contributions from directors like Anurag Kashyap and Sudhir Mishra amongst others. Incidentally, the festival is also timed with Kashyap’s birthday.


Scheduled to take place from 1 – 5 December, Passionforcinema.com’s film festival will be for one minute movies and will be called PFCOne. The purpose is to encourage the film maker in everyone.


Interested people can use their mobile phones,digital cameras, camcorders, or even a movie or video camera to capture a one minute film that is based on an original story.


The jury for PFCOne will comprise Anurag Kashyap, Nishikant Kamat, Sudhir Mishra, Rajkumar Gupta, Onir, Suparn Verma, Surendra Hiwarale, Pavan Kaul, The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles president Christina Marouda, Hansal Mehta


The last date for sending entries will be 15 November, 2007


The winners get to choose their prize from multiple options namely:



  • 15 days internship with Anurag Kashyap on the sets of his next film Dev D, in Delhi, approximately around December/January
  • Writing internship with Hansal Mehta for his next movie, in Bombay, approximately around March/April 2008
  • 30 days internship with Pavan Kaul on his next proposed film, around mid 2008.
  • 15 days theater internship with Ramu Ramanathan for festivals and plays, around end of December/January
  • Internship with Onir on his next movie, which begins around early to mid 2008
  • 30 day internship with Nishikant Kamat on his next movie which begins around April 2008
