Box Office: Furious 7 Breaks All Records

The 7th instalment from Fast & Furious franchise, Furious 7 continues to break all the records in India set by any Hollywood film so far. Over the four day weekend, the film minted around Rs 48 Crore (480 millions) in all languages at the Box Office. Furious 7 broke Hollywood film The Amazing Spiderman 2‘s opening record at the Box Office in India by earning around Rs 12 Crore (120 millions) on its first day. Furious 7 has broken all the opening weekend records set by any film, be it Bollywood or Hollywood in 2015 in India.

On the other hand, director Dibakar Banerjee‘s Bollywood film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy managed to pull around Rs 14.25 Crore (142.5 million) on its first weekend at the Box Office. The film opened to a poor slow starton Friday by earning around Rs 4.25 Crore (42.5 million) at the Box Office. Sushant Singh Rajput starrer film saw a really slow growth on its second day by minting around Rs. 4.50 Crore Nett (45 million). However, on Sunday, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy had a decent run and earned around Rs. 5. 50 Crore Nett (55 million) at the Box Office.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is during really good in West Bengal as the film minted over Rs. 1 Crore (10 million). The film did business of around Rs 4.25 Crore Net (42.5 million) in Mumbai. The film could have done more better if only a Hollywood film, that too Furious 7 wasn’t it’s competition at the Box Office. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy have completely surrendered in from of its Hollywood competition, Furious 7, which stars late Paul Walker’s last film. Directed by James Wan, Furious 7 stars VinDiesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson and Bollywood actor Ali Fazal in a special appearance.
