MUMBAI: B R Films’ forthcoming venture Bhootnath, targeted primarily at children, will hit theatres on 11 April. This falls right after the kids’ exam period. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Satish Shah and Rajpal Yadav, the film has Shah Rukh Khan making a special appearance.
According to B R Films CEO Sanjay Bhutiani, distributors for most territories are still being finalized, while they will themselves distribute the movie in Delhi and Punjab. The Bombay territory rights have already been sold to Bharat Shah-run VIP Films and the overseas distributors are being finalized.
Bhootnath is directed by debutant Vivek Sharma. It is co-produced by BR Films and Studio 18. The music is by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
The post production of the film is underway at Pix N Trix, a studio in which Ravi Chopra picked up majority stake last year.
