MUMBAI: After collaborating for the theatrical distribution of Water, B R Films and Deepa Mehta have come together for another movie titled Heaven On Earth starring Preity Zinta in the lead role.
This time around the two have collaborated for the co-production of this international film.
The film has been on floors in Toronto since 15 November. Apart from Zinta, the movie also stars a few theatre actors. “The Toronto schedule will wrap up by 18 December, which will be followed by short four day spell in Punjab. We plan to release the movie internationally in September,” informs B R Films CEO Sanjay Bhutiani.
Heaven On Earth is a Punjabi film. The story, which is inspired from a real life story of Mehta’s friend, deals with the lives of immigrants in a foreign land.
