MUMBAI: BSEL Infrastrutcure Realty Ltd has entered into a pre-bid alliance with multi-million euro international hotel group Accor Asia Pacific and Adlabs Films Ltd for the proposed International Convention Centre (ICC) at Bhubaneshwar, Orissa.
The ICC is slated to come up near near Rasulgarh Square, adjacent to Bhubaneshwar-Cuttack Highway (NH5). Up to 27 acres of land has been allotted for it by the Orissa State Government. The complex will include a mall, multiplex and a five star hotel, among other commercial projects.
BSEL has received an expression of interest from Accor Asia Pacific, which has a presence in 140 countries, with a turnover of Euro 7622 million, through its Indian arm, AAPC India Hotel Management Private Limited. Adlabs Films Limited will also partner with BSEL in the multiplex portion of the mall and multiplex project in the International Convention Centre.
Recently BSEL Infrastructure Realty, in joint venture with Unity Infraprojects, bagged a Rs 1.56 billion (Rs 156 crore) contract for developing hotel and commercial space at the Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. The project involves provision for 400 hotel rooms and commercial development of three lakh square feet area, while the land allotted to the JV is six acres.
