MUMBAI: Producer Bunty Walia has announced eight new films under his banner – GS Entertainment. The producer will be pumping in Rs 1.75 billion (Rs 175 crores) in these projects, of which one has reached the point of completion.
Along with a three-film deal with actor Sanjay Dutt, Walia also has five other films in the pipeline. "Chowki, which has reached the post production level, has been worked around on a small budget of Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crores). However, the movie has a multiplex feel. Apart from that, the other films Jump –Generation of Thieves, has a budget of Rs 300 million (Rs 30 crores), Chance Pe Dance will be made on a budget of Rs 100 million (Rs 10 crores), Mukti – Quest For Life on Rs 200 million (Rs 20 crores) and Bombay 3 will be made on a budget of Rs 120 million (Rs 12 crores)," informs Walia..
The three films with Sanjay Dutt – Lamha, Just Punjabi and Gangs of London will be around Rs 250 million (Rs 25 crores), Rs 350 million (Rs 35 crores) and Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crores) respectively.
Though as of now these are his stand alone productions, Walia is also looking at sealing a deal with one of the corporate houses. "There are so many of them, I will definitely tie up with one of them for my films," states Walia.
