MUMBAI: The Cape Town pre-launch of the Cape Town Bollywood Film Festival, held on 27 May 2007, registered a strong celebrity and media presence.
Among those who attended were Ambrose Uren, Anele Matoti, Anthony Oseyemi, Christo Davids, Chumani Pan, Chumisa Cosa, Clint Dixon, Dirk de Villiers, Erica Wessels, Motlatsi Mafatshe and Verity Price. Veterans like Sybil Sands, John Caviggio and many others also attended the function.
A promo of the Pre-Launch in India, messages from the stars from Bollywood and three new film releases were screened. These included, The Whisperers (starring Manoj Bajpai, Rahul Bose, Tara Sharma and Kim Sharma); Chath – A Roof Without Walls (USA Production) and My Bollywood Bride (starring Sanjay Suri, Kashmera Shah, Gulshan Grover and Jason Lewis).
The Cape Town Bollywood Film Festival will be held from 10 – 12 August, 2007.
