MUMBAI: Ranvijay is in the midst of packing his bags. The MTV anchor of the popular reality show, Roadies, is part of the ensemble cast that is shooting for Vipul Shah’s Action Replay in Karjat. Not just that, Ranvijay has also acted in Shah’s London Dreams.
The lure of movies was always there for Ranvijay. Narrating his entry into films, he said, "One day I got a call from Vipul Shah’s office for the role of one of the boys in the musical, London Dreams. I was selected and I now play a member of the music group in the film. We shot in London and Punjab and after that there was no looking back. When I was told about Action Replay, I immediately agreed to do it."
Shah holds a special place in Ranvijay’s life. Apparently the director gave him a full narration of his film. Not once was Ranvijay treated like a newcomer on his sets. Taking a cue from him, the lead actors of the film also made Ranvijay welcome on the set. The VJ recollected, "Salman and Ajay treated me like their younger brother. Salman would call me to his room to check if I have had my meals. Couple of times Ajay took us out for a meal and also see movies. It was unbelievable the way I was made to feel so cared for."
It is not just Shah’s films that Ranvijay is working on. The actor is also acting in a film that is being made by the producers of Khosla Ka Ghosla.
After Mahima Chowdhury, Purab Kohli, Ranveer Shorey, Vinay Pathak, the lure of Bollywood snares another video jockey in its fold… And for all those Ranvijay fans, the actor revealed, "I have had to remove the ring from my eyebrows for Action Replay, but in London Dreams, I have it."
