MUMBAI: Jupiter Capital chairman and CEO Rajeev Chandrasekhar has been appointed as the president of FICCI.
Chandrasekhar took over as president at the conclusion of the 80th Annual General Meeting of FICCI. Chandrasekhar founded BPL Mobile in 1994 and was one of the earliest investors to spot the Indian telecom opportunity and invest in it.
He is a member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) representing Bangalore (Karnataka).
J K Paper Ltd managing director Harsh Pati Singhania has been elected as the senior president of FICCI. He is the senior committee member of FICCI and also heads the manufacturing committee of FICCI.
Bharti Enterprises managing director Rajan Bharti Mittal has been elected as the vice president of FICCI. Mittal is also the chairman of Retail Committee of FICCI.
