Cinemax India launches its 13th property

MUMBAI: Multiplex chain Cinemax India has launched its 13th property in India. The new property called The Red Lounge – Cinemax will start operations from 6 July, 2007 in Bandra (Mumbai).


Cinemax recently launched two multiplex properties in Guwahati (Assam) and Himmatnagar (Gujarat). It plans to expand its operations pan India to 299 screens and 75,695 seats by 2010.


This new property will also be Cinemax’s tenth theatre in the Mumbai region. With the commencement of operation in Bandra, Cinema will have capacity of 11,028 seats housing 39 screens.


Cinemax India vice president marketing and programming Devang Sampat said, “We at Cinemax have aimed at providing cinema lovers in Mumbai with the best movie-viewing experience, through our screen size, picture, sound quality or innovative offers. Red Lounge has been popularized due to this special feature being present at our Versova and Thane establishments. Now with Bandra, we have three magnificent Red Lounges in the Mumbai to add to the comfort of our patrons. Theatre enthusiasts need not travel all the way to Andheri or into town to catch their favourite flicks in the comfort of a plush theatre.”


The Red Lounge theatre at Bandra will have the 160° reclining Red Sofa seats in the auditorium.
