MUMBAI: The Kapoor family is an integral part of Bollywood. While it was usually the men who reigned in the Indian film Industry, change came through Karisma’s foray into acting. Now, heirs to the Kapoor legacy, Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, are amongst the top stars of Bollywood. However, they have never come together for any film till now.
Reportedly, the two will come together as brother and sister for Zoya Akhtar’s next. Apparently, Zoya has been busy with the script of the film for some time now. But only recently, she has managed to convince Ranbir and Kareena to portray the lead roles.
While the cousins are aware that they can never pair romantically for any film, a leading daily has reported that they consented for this project as it has an extraordinary script. To go on floors by the end of this year, the film is apparently about the relationship between a brother and a sister – an idea that has been exploited several times in the past. However, since the 1990s, the formula of the brother-sister bond died down.
