Dara Singh’s son to resurrect company

MUMBAI: Vindoo, son of actor Dara Singh, is trying to revive his family’s production house.

The actor, who started with a disaster, Karan, produced under his own banner, could not make a place for himself as an actor in Hindi or Punjabi films.

Dara Singh, meanwhile, played a memorable role in TV serials like Ramayan, as also in B-grade films like Rustom-E-Bhagdad, Rustom-E-Rome, Rustom-E-Hind, Aaya Toofan, Sher-E-Watan and others. He even acted in a few Hindi films. Singh turned producer with Nanak Dukhiya Sab Sansar and produced several Punjabi films.

Vindoo says, “I want to re-launch our production house. I am on the verge of finalising a few scripts, of which I may try and direct one. I also want to revive our Dara Studios in Punjab, which has been shut down for long. I would like to make Punjabi films too.”
