MUMBAI: Cinemax India president – sales, marketing and operations Devang Sampat has put in his papers after a 10 year stint with the company.
His last day at the multiplex chain will be 15 November, 2010.
In June this year, Sampat was promoted from senior vice president to president and was reporting to Cinemax India managing director Himanshu Kanakia.
"I have decided to move on to give myself an opportunity to explore other growth prospects. As I feel that at a senior level it won’t be right to stay on at Cinemax and look out for new opportunities, hence I have decided to move on after informing Kanakias," said Sampat.
It may be recalled that Cinemax India also appointed Sunil Punjabi as CEO earlier this year.
In his 12 year long stint at Cinemax India, Sampat worked in various capacities keeping marketing and sales as his core competency.
