Mumbai: DQ Entertainment International has started service productions for Nickelodeon animation Studios, USA to produce their Fan Boy and Chum Chum and The Penguins of Madagascar high end CGI children’s animated TV series. The project order follows DQE’s successful production of CGI animated TV series Tak.
Fanboy and Chum Chum is a spin off from the upcoming Nicktoons Network anthology series Random! Cartoons, while The Penguins of Madagascar is a spin off from the feature film Madagascar from Dreamworks.
The two series join Nickelodeon’s successful slate of animated series including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly Oddparents, The Mighty B!, Tak, and Back at the Barnyard.
The three productions for Nickelodeon will result in multimillion dollar revenue for DQE; and have led the company to build more capacity for Nickelodeon to undertake further productions in 2009-10.
