DQ Entertainment to produce new animated kids’ TV series

Mumbai: DQ Entertainment (DQE) will be producing the animation for the TV series based on the best selling children’s novel Geronimo Stilton.

Atlantyca Entertainment is the licensor of the Geronimo Stilton brands and is responsible for its business development opportunities, including the books and the animated TV series due to be released internationally in autumn 2009.

The animated children’s TV series Geronimo Stilton is being produced by Atlantyca Entertainment together with MoonScoop Productions, with a multi million Euro global production budget.

The series will be jointly distributed by Taffy Entertainment and Atlantyca worldwide, together with Italy’s RAI and France’s M6, the first major European broadcasters to acquire the new animated kids’ series.

The first teaser of Atlantyca’s new series was screened at the recently concluded MIPCOM in Cannes.

Atlantyca Entertainment executive producer of Geronimo Stilton Caterina Vacchi said, "The first images of the series are fantastic and are certain to generate incredible enthusiasm for the series among programmers and broadcasters throughout the world."

MoonScoop CEO and executive producer of the series Nicolas Atlan added "Geronimo Stilton is an incredibly popular children’s book across the globe. We have now brought the same great mix of comedy and adventure to the TV series and we look forward to giving broadcasters a glimpse of what they can expect when the completed episodes are available after the end of the year."
