Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi has shed almost 10 kgs for the role he is essaying as an artist in Mohit Suri’s Raaz – The Mystery Continues. The film is being produced by Vishesh Films.
Hashmi has also spiked his hair, grown an arty beard, kohled in his eyebrows, and loaded up on junk jewellery. Suri insisted Hashmi loses all the extra mass he had for the role. Hashmi went on a crash diet, and shaved off his bread. From weighing 76 kgs, he now weighs 66 kgs.
He started his weight loss effort around February this year. In fact, at that time he was still shooting for Jannat, and you can see the difference in the last few scenes of the movie and also through Raaz – the Mystery Continues as Emraan continues to grow thinner.
Hashmi says, "It’s not so difficult if you’re serious about it. And the results are the biggest motivator encouraging me to stick to the schedule. Along with the change in diet, I walk every day for an hour and drink lots of water. Also I’ve begun having dinner three hours before I sleep, and whenever I have a day off, I go for a run before breakfast because you supposedly burn more fat that way. I saw the biggest difference in a week after cutting off bread."
Will he continue? "Sure" he says, "I’ve got used to this discipline and am enjoying this new leaner feel."
