Enlighten ventures into production of short films

MUMBAI: Enlighten has now ventured into producing short films. Enlighten has pioneered in promoting short films and have represented Indian short films across various Film Festivals in India and is looking forward to produce around 200 short films in 2011.

“We wanted to venture in to producing short films for entertainment as there are various new avenues being explored for the entertainment in media today and short films are going to be the next big thing,” says Enlighten Cinema founder chairman Pranav Ashar. “We will be a part of Short Film Corner at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI- Goa) as buyers. We would be buying films and also be scouting for new talent there. If people come and approach us there with their scripts and if it’s interesting we would love to collaborate with them and help them produce, market and distribute those films.”

Enlighten has also collaborated with the 48 hour film project which is an international film making competition where film – makers get just 48 hours to make, shoot, edit a film. Enlighten will be selecting a team from this competition and will provide them an opportunity to be a part of a commissioned short film project.
