MUMBAI: Eros International Media and Ocher Studios have joined hands to co-produce the Rajnikanth starrer Rana, which will be directed by KS Ravikumar.

Ravikumar has previously directed two super hit films of Rajinikanth namely Muthu and Padayappa.

Scheduled to go on floor in March this year, Rana will be a live action film with Rajini playing triple role and will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

The music of Rana will be composed by AR Rahman, director of photography will be Ratnavelu, editing will be by Antony.

The technical & special effects director will be Soundarya Rajnikanth and Eyeqube Studios’ Charles Darby will be the visual effects supervisor on the film.  The film is scheduled to release in 2012.

Eros International along with Hara Picture Production, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ocher Studios will produce the film through Rana Production Ltd., UK.
