MUMBAI: Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar owned Excel Entertainment’s next film Rock On has gone on the floors on 7 January. The entire schedule is being filmed in Mumbai.
The film revolves around four young boys who put together the greatest band this country had ever seen but never make it. Ten years hence fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off.
The film is being directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Rock On also stars Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny.
Other credits include music by Shankar, Eshaan and Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and cinematography by Jason West.
The film is schedule to release in the third quarter of 2008.
