MUMBAI: Fame Multiplex, a division of Shringar Cinemas Limited is spreading its roots rapidly. As a part of its expansion plans, Fame is adding eight new properties across India within the next 12 months.
Shringar Cinemas’ Aditya B. Shroff says, “Fame has re-defined the movie-viewing experience for cinema patron and has catalyzed the explosive growth of the multiplex industry across India. It would extend its presence in Bombay at Thane, Dadar and Ghatkopar and further spread to Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Within a span of four years we have aggregated 232 screens.”
April 2002 witnessed the launch of the first ever five-Fame screen multiplex of Mumbai – Fame Adlabs; followed by Fame Malad at the Inorbit Mall, Fame Nashik, Fame Raghuleela in Kandivali, Fame Hiland Park in Kolkata, Fame Jai Ganesh in Pimpri (Pune) and the latest addition is the six-screen Fame Raj Empire multiplex in Surat, which opened in June this year.
The latest addition is the new six-screen Fame Raj Empire multiplex in Surat, two single screens multiplexes at Thakur Village in Kandivali (East) and another four-screen is at Fame Thakur multiplex, Dahisar.
The first screen of the Thakur Fame cinemas will commence from 24 November with Dhoom:2. It has a capacity of 782 seats.
