Mumbai: Director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar is to feature on BBC Radio’s BBC Ek Mulakat. BBC Ek Mulaqat is a weekend talk show where famous people chat about the other side of their lives–from childhood stories, teenage trivia, hobbies, passions to little known facts about themselves.
Akhtar was at Phoenix Mills to chat with Sanjeev Srivastava, India Editor and presenter of BBC Ek Mulaqat.
BBC has launched its marketing campaign of BBC on FM for the first time. This on-ground activation and chat with Akhtar was in line with BBC’s marketing campaign for BBC programming capsules on FM Radio.
BBC on Short Wave now has a total audience base of 20.1 million in India. Furthermore, BBC programmes on FM can be heard in 13 cities and seven radio stations across India.
The show has featured guests like L K Advani, Kapil Dev, Sania Mirza, Ghulam Ali, Baba Ramdev, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Maharani Gayatri Devi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Virender Sehwag.
The programme won the Most Innovative Show at the Excellence in Radio Awards held during the India Radio Forum 2007.
