FICCI announces Canada as partner country for FICCI FRAMES 2011

MUMBAI: FICCI has announced Canada as the partner country for FICCI FRAMES 2011, to be held from 23-25 March at Hotel Renaissance, Mumbai.

Canada is the source of 80% of the animation and special effects software used in Hollywood. Nearly every recent film nominated for a special effects Oscar has used Canadian-developed technology. Canada is now number three in the world for the games industry, following the US and Japan. Toronto and Montreal are in the top 5 cities for creative industries foreign direct investment, after Los Angeles and New York and Canada is also number three in the world in software and multimedia patents 

As Partner Country, Canada, with the support of the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, and in collaboration with Export Development Canada (EDC) will be showcasing their capabilities and attractiveness through: Canada country pavilion at Booth No. 6 & 7; Various Canadian speakers giving high level presentation during FICCI Frames; The Indo-Canada Student Innovation Award to be presented during the FICCI BAF Awards Ceremony.

The speaker’s session will feature Side Effects Software chief technology officer Dr. Paul Salvini.

FICCI FRAMES has a team to conduct Face-Face Business Meetings with Canadian Delegates and other foreign delegates.
