MUMBAI: The Film Federation of India (FFI) will hold its executive meet on 29 July, 2007 to decide their course of action regarding the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, FFI secretary Supran Sen said, “We have certain issues regarding the IFFI festival and we would like to see them resolved before the festival commences in November.”
Elaborating on the issues raised by the Federation, Sen adds, “Ever since the venue has been changed to Goa, there has been a total lack of coordination between the State and the Central governments, which affects the participants of the festival. Moreover on the infrastructure front we want to make sure that the participants don’t face any kind of challenge this time like what happened last year. Our mission is to safeguard the interests of the Indian film industry. The executive meet will address all these issues and decide the future course of action.”
