MUMBAI: The Films Division of India is in the process of digitizing all 8131 films in its archives.
The movies in Films Division’s archives have been classified as most precious, precious and normal on the basis of their historical value and their contents.
The Most Precious films have been/are being digitized on High Definition format, whereas Precious and Normal films are digitized on Standard Definition format.
Till November 7278 films were been digitized out of a total 8131 films.
