FILMY promotes movies in new style

Mumbai: FILMY has pioneered a new way of promoting its movies. It will have an animated promo for a movie in a bid to lure the youth. FILMY’s in-house on-air promotion team has unique creatives for the films like Deewaar, Baghban, Mughal-e-Azam etc., that will feature in it’s prime property Saturday Blockbuster, Saturdays at 8 PM.

The first of these is an animated promo for the movie Deewaar that showcases a parody on the famous lines said by Amitabh Bachchan "Aaj mere paas paisa hai, bangla hai, gaadi hai, naukar hai, bank balance hai, aur tumhare paas maa ko dene ke liya kya hai?"  To which Shashi Kapoor answers "Bhai mere paas mere usul, mere adarsh aur kirai ka quarter hai!" to which their mother replies "Oye Chup Kar!"

To drive viewership, the channel will promote the film through this unique promo across news and youth channels, and will tap into social sites like Orkut, YouTube and Facebook. In the past, the channel has seen overwhelming response on these sites for its community.
