Mumbai: Amarjeet the new boy on the celluloid and is all set to make his debut with the film Iqraar… By Chance. A military school student, disciplinarian by nature, gold medalist in football, black belt in karate, champion in kick boxing, agile dancer, numero uno in dramatics and dancing and many more qualities is what Amarjeet is all about.
Amarjeet always wanted to be an actor and showed an immediate aptitude for films as he assisted Deepak Balraj Vij. He pursued his dream and his father gave him the platform but not before proving it to his father and thus bagged the lead role.
“One-take artiste,” is what his director Ravi Shankar calls him as he was completely impressed by his acting abilities. Amarjeet stars opposite debutant Shilpa in what is a romantic comedy. Amarjeet feels that he had immense scope to prove his ability in the said film which also stars Arbaaz Khan and Rahul Dev and who were bowled over by the lad’s performance.
Amarjeet says that he wants to carve a niche for himself and go a long way in this field. Amarjeet’s father a renowned financier Jitendra S.Shukla (owner of J71 studios) has launched his production house with their maiden film and has more in the pipeline where Amarjeet will essay various types of roles. ‘I am getting lots of acting offers, from renowned directors but I am just waiting for my release,” says Amarjeet. “The movie is budgeted is 4.5 crore, and I am selling the entire rigths to just one person. The deal will be through within a week. I am planning for July 28 or August 4 release,” says the producer Jitendra S. Shukla.
