MUMBAI: The maiden International Festival of Film and Video productions – Ananse International Film Festival (AIFF 2007) will be held in Accra, the capital of Ghana (Africa) from 3 – 5 March, 2007. This also happens to be the country’s 50th Independece Day.
The three-day event is a festival of films, video and television productions from Ghana, Africa and all over the world. It will feature screenings, exhibitions, conferences and workshops as it is designed to increase trade opportunities and development in the film, video and broadcast industries.
Michael Gyang (film marketing), Yaw Boakye (film production) and Emmanuel Apea Junior (film directing) are the initiators of this festival.
Apart from African Information & Broadcasting Ministry; Ghana Broadcasting Co-operation, the Ghana Actors Guild, the School of Performing Arts and the Academy of Screen Arts are the few host agencies collaborating with the organizers.
