MUMBAI: Gajendrra Siingh’s television production house Saibaba Telefilms, which pioneered the concept of music reality shows in Hindi, has now made a foray in Kannada television.
The company has launched a music reality show for which auditions are currently underway in Shimoga. The mega audition will culminate in Bengaluru on 23 April. The show seeks to search for and promote the best of musical talent in Karnataka and will see six stalwarts of the Kannada music industry competing with each other, heading six teams, each captained by a singer from other reality shows. Joining each team will be three new singers from different regions of Karnataka, chosen in a state-wide audition.
The auditions will be judged by Praveen D. Rao. A total of 12 singers will be chosen to participate in the show.
