Emily Blunt is all set to play an alcoholic in her upcoming film ‘ The Girl on the Train‘.
The film is an adaptation of Paula Hawkin‘s bestseller novel of the same name.
The novel has been brought to life by director Tate Taylor, who has incorporated some slow motion shots in the movie to make Emily Blunts performance more realistic and believable in the movie.
The director has made use of the step fronting technology, in order to add depth to screenplay and emphasize on the various character traits exhibited by the lead actress, Emily blunt who will be seen as Rachel in the film.
Speaking about the technology, b said, “It’s called step fronting, they weren’t done in the past, it was just kind off adding to the idea that is she drunk right now? is this a true memory? or boy this is profoundly affecting her and this is giving us an insight into her real pain. It’s a device that is delivered and pre-planned.”
The idea behind these slow motion shots were to keep the audiences intrigued about whether Rachel was intoxicated, or was Rachel in a delusion, or the alcohol was affecting her, so to incorporate these thoughts into the minds of audiences and to keep them captivated slow motion shots were used in the film.
The film has Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux in the lead roles.
‘The Girl on the Train’ is directed by Tate Taylor and is produced by DreamWorks Pictures and Reliance Entertainment.
The film is slated to release India on 14th October 2016.
