Gitanjali to hold luxury fest from 22 December

MUMBAI: The Gitanjali Group will be holding the Gitanjali Luxury Style Fest, India’s first luxury event that will exhibit elite brands to its target audience from 22-25 December at Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) in Mumbai.  Gitanjali Group, Chairman, Mehul Choksi said, “The Gitanjali Group has always displayed a long standing and deep-rooted commitment towards development of the luxury industry and market in India. The Gitanjali Luxury Style Fest 2007 is a synchronized effort to develop a common arena for leading luxury brands to come together and create an unforgettable experience around a niche audience. We see our new idea as the right step to provide an impetus to the growth of the luxury segment in the country.”  The event proposes to bring together the following – luxury brands, elite celebrations, fashion designers showcases, luxury exhibits, race-day viewing, business networking opportunities, thematic performances and post show parties spread across the four days.   The partners for the fest are K. Ltd., Gold Expressions, Royal Western Indian Turf Club (RWITC), Morellato & Sector, Nina Ricci, Marvin, Stafan Hafnar by Giantti, Mumbai Internal Boat Show & Nakshatra.   The participating designers are Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, JJ Valaya, Arjun Khanna, Manish Arora, Wendell Rodricks, Anamika Khanna, Rohit Gandhi – Rahul Khanna, Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Manoviraj Khosla, Varun Bahl, Ranna Gill, Krishna Mehta, Nandita Mahtani and Surily Goel. Among the young turks Prashant Verma, Samant Chauhan, Charu Parashar and Nida Mahmood will be showcasing.   Choksi added, “The Gitanjali Luxury Style Fest 2007 will celebrate high-life in the most exuberant manner.
