Mumbai: Jaipur based film production and distribution company Harbinger Creations has completed the shooting of their short Hindi thriller film Picnic.
The film has been written, produced and directed by Gajendra S Shrotriya, an independent film maker from Jaipur.
The film was shot on various locations around Jaipur and will be sent to several national and international short film festivals with English subtitles. After the festival rounds for a year, it would be made available internationally on home DVD and internet download. The film is under post production at present.
The story of the film revolves around the political ambitions of three friends who go on a picnic to relax themselves before the ensuing elections. Something dreadful awaits them at the picnic which turns this outing in a never ending nightmare.
Theatre artists like Sarvesh Vyas, Anil Marwari, Dilip Narooka and Manoj Swami have played key roles in the film. Folklore Productions provided the technical support and equipments during the shoot and is doing the post production of the film. Noted documentary filmmaker Amit Ojha is the technical associate and editor of the film. John Abner Andrew is the cinematographer and Aakash Jaitly has done the sound design and background score.
The next film project by Harbinger is a feature film in Hindi for theatrical release. Shrotriya is at present finishing the script of the film. He will be producing and directing this film to be presented and distributed by Harbinger Creations.
