HBO to air Oscar feted movies on Hollywood’s Best in February


MUMBAI: February will see HBO airing a volley of Oscar winning and nominated movies only on Hollywood’s Best along with a romantic line-up of movies custom made for Valentine season.

One movie will air cinematic every night from Sunday to Friday after the 9 pm movie on HBO Hollywood’s Best.

The line up begins with Stuart Little followed by Atonement, starring Keira Knightly, the third film of the Bourne Trilogy – The Bourne Ultimatum, American film director and producer Michael Bay’s Transformers, comedy movies Norbit starring Eddie Murphy and Thandie Newton and Something’s Gotta Give and action adventure movies such as Blood Diamond, Space Cowboys, Gladiator, The Perfect Storm, Superman, Hollow Man and Jaws.

HBO Hollywood’s Best kitty also has a host of movies like the Will Smith, Jaden Smith and Thandie Newton starrer The Pursuit of Happyness, Dreamgirls, Flags of our Fathers, Gattaca, Children of Men, The Truman Show, Apollo 13, Patch Adams, The Prestige and One True Thing.

HBO will also premiere Elizabeth: The Golden Age, a film based on the early reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England. The film was written by Michael Hirst and directed by Shekhar Kapur.

In Blockbuster of the month, HBO will air animation movie Bee Movie featuring the voices of Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger, and Chris Rock on 22 February.

Top 10 Romeos on HBO will be its Valentine’s Day special every Saturday at 8 pm. On 7 February Chris O’Donnell and Gene Hackman will star in The Chamber followed by Bruce Willis starrer Perfect Stranger and The Glimmer Man starring Steven Seagal.

On 14 February, Hugh Grant starrer Notting Hill will be aired along with Ralph Fiennes starrer Maid in Manhattan and Tom Cruise starrer Far and Away. Will Smith’s action packed adventure Wild Wild West will air on 21 February along with George Clooney’s The Perfect Storm. Spiderman 3 will be aired on 28 February followed by thriller The Cable Guy starring Jim Carrey.

Mission Impossible starring Tom Cruise and Jon Voight will be aired on 1 February whereas Mission Impossible 2 will be aired on 8 February. Will Smith, Jaden Smith and Thandie Newton starrer The Pursuit of Happyness will be aired on 8 February on HBO Sunday Super Hits.

Some of the other movies that will be aired in February on HBO are: Ghost Rider, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, The Bourne Ultimatum and Shooter amongst others.
