MUMBAI: While media reports may claim from roof tops that the standoff between Hindi film producers and multiplexes has finally come to an end; the fact of the matter is that talks are still on.
While there has been some headway in the talks between the two parties, the issue will still take a couple of days to resolve.
As was reported by Businessofcinema.com, meetings have been held over the last few days between producers, distributors and multiplexes with Reliance BIG Entertainment chairman Amit Khanna acting as mediator. While things have definitely progressed, a solution has not yet been reached.
"Talks have progressed but the fine print of the terms and conditions are still being worked upon. Until and unless the papers are signed, one cannot say that any decision has been reached," says a source close to the development.
