MUMBAI: Sajid Nadiadwala’s forthcoming film Housefull 2 will be shot at NASA’s Weightlessness Chamber, making it the first is making Bollywood movie to be shot there.
The only other movies to have been shot there were Apollo 13 and Armageddon.
Housefull 2 stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Rahul Khanna and Deepika Padukone among others. Directed by Sajid Khan, the film is a sequel to Housefull that released on 30 April, 2010.
Khan said, “It is not the climax but is significant to the plot.Usually, we have actors swinging from cables that are digitally removed later. But in this case, I wanted them to cross each other and that’s not possible with wires because they would get entangled.”
Nadiadwala is currently in the process of finalizing the two day shoot somewhere between July and September, 2011.
“Sajid (Nadiadwala) got Sylvester Stallone to make an appearance in Kambakkht Ishq (2009). I know he will get permission from NASA too,” adds Khan.
