Akshaye Khanna, Suneil Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, Amisha Patel, Anupam Kher and Lilette Dubey were shooting for Aap Ki Khatir on the last day. Made in a budget of Rs. 130 million the film has been shot in London and has accommodated this huge starcast. The film wrapped up on 24 July at Filmcity. The film is now in its post production stage and with little dubbing left, the film is all set to release on 25 August.
Akshaye Khanna plays Priyanka’s love interest in the film. “Priyanka asks me to pretend to be her boyfriend at her sisters wedding and a series of events follow when I meet her parents and her family”, says Akshaye.
This is the first time the audiences will see Akshaye – Priyanka as the lead pair in a Hindi film. Their chemistry on the sets looked interesting. One can just hope it translates well on screen also. “Priyanka is the most talented actresses of her generation. I see a superb career ahead for her. She acts so well, dances so well, looks so pretty. I have shared a great chemistry with her in this film and I will look forward to working with her in the future.”
Amisha plays Priyanka’s sister in the film. This is also the first time that both of them are working with director Dharmesh Darshan. Amisha says, “It is always a pleasure to work with Dharmesh as a heroine, especially because he makes you feel so beautiful. He loves to clad his heroines in sarees and he has done that with me as well, but in one scene only.” Suniel Shetty is paired opposite Amisha in the film.
Aap Ki Khatir has been shot in a 30-day schedule in London and 20 days in Mumbai. The film is produced by Ratan Jain. Music has been rendered by Himesh Reshammiya.
