MUMBAI: Producer, director Yash Chopra was felicitated at the 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) as the Asian Filmmaker of the Year.
Pusan International Film Festival director Kim Dong-ho presented the award at PIFF. Asian cinema’s elite were present at the Festival to pay tribute to Chopra.
"You have to prove that you’re good once again. You’re only as good as your last film,"said Chopra in his acceptance speech.
Yash Raj Films’ four films – Lamhe, Dhoom:2, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and New York were screened in the A Special Program in Focus: Retrospective on Yash Chopra’s section. Kabir Khan, director of New York, was also present at the festival.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism / Metropolitan City of Busan, the PIFF attracts over 200,000 visitors and has over 10,000 participating guests from 55 countries.
