Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan producer back

MUMBAI: London based Kirit Trivedi, one of the producers of the 1998 hit Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is back to filmmaking.

Vashu Bhagnani and Sheetal Jain (one of Amitabh Bachchan’s secretaries) were the other producers of the film. Kirit Trivedi says, “I have acquired the rights of a book, Life, Bits and Pieces by journalist – author Ali Peter John. I have read the book in London and found it quite interesting. The project is in the pre-production stages.”

Ali Peter John says, “I have given the rights and have even inked the deal. I have got a handsome signing amount too. The book is all about me from age one to 50. It covers everything about me and I am happy it is being made into a film. From what I have heard, Sanjeev Sivan, the younger brother of director Sangeeth Sivan and cinematographer Santosh Sivan will direct this film.”

Sanjeev Sivan, who has made documentaries for the National Geographic channel, has directed a blockbuster Malayalam film Aparachithan in 2004. The film starred Mammootty and Kavya Madhavan. After Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Kirit was busy with promoting international tours in the UK. He is known as one of the major promoters of Amitabh Bachchan international shows.
