MUMBAI: Onir’s Bas Ek Pal is due for release on 15 September. The film being produced by Paramhans Creations’ Shailesh Singh and Movies N More India Pvt. Ltd’s Manohar Kanungo has been acquired by Sahara One Motion Pictures.

“Sahara has presented Bas Ek Pal. I have almost recovered the cost of my film,” informs Singh. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 40 million (Rs 4 crore).

“Sahara will also be presenting at least three more films for me in the next one year. Bas Ek Pal is the first one and the second one is also going to be directed by Onir. He will finish scripting it by September end,” he adds.

The film will be a romantic comedy but will not be based on Hamlet. The cast of the film will be decided after the scripting is through. “The contract is going to be signed with Sahara after 10 days and that’s when the exact number of films will be determined. I have already discussed some projects with them,” reveals Singh.
