Fame X will capture the journey of 14 singers, who were shortlisted from 50 aspiring singers that auditioned from five cities in October. The 14 contestants are enrolled into ‘Fame Academy,’ where they will be vocally and musically trained.
Sab senior vice president and business head Vikas Bahl said, “Sab is consciously making an effort to reach to the new age Indian and offer them popular entertainment that is innovative, inspirational and optimistic.”
Daler Mehndi on his new role as a judge said, “As I liked the concept of this show, I agreed to be a part of it. I play a key role in the growth of 14 contestants as their mentor, critic and above all a guiding force on this show.”
Sab programming head Priya Mishra added, “Fame X is different from its earlier version. One single winner will be entitled for a Sony BMG contract and a special honour of singing an anthem for the Indian cricket team.”
