Don’s Yeh Mera Dil premieres on 3 September

Mumbai: The song, retained from the old Don, will stay on air for three weeks out of the of two songs retained from the old Don – Yeh Mera Dil and Khaike Paan Banaraswala – Yeh Mera Dil will be shown on TV 3rd September onwards. Revealed Farhan Akhtar, “It is now time to promote the song Yeh Mera Dil. Once it’s on air by 3rd September, it will play for three weeks.”

Teasers for Don have been visible since early this August, thus breaking the conventional 6 week promotion phenomenon. Farhan Akhtar, says, “We started promoting Don almost 8-9 weeks in advance with a particular strategy in mind; we wanted to unfold the characters one by one. For example, the first teaser was a brief introduction to Shah Rukh followed by a promo describing his character. That was followed by the character of his alter ego Vijay with the Ganapati song.”

The music of the film was released on 26 August and the film is due for release on 20 October.
