Dor music to release today

Mumbai: The music for Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor, composed by Salim and Suleiman launches today. The film is produced by Sahara One Motion Pictures (with executive producer Percept Picture Company in association with Sic Productions) and slated for release next month.

Dor is set in rural Rajasthan along with Kashmir. Suleiman says, “We have recorded three songs for the film. Two of them are Rajasthani songs, one of which has been sung by Shafaqat Amaanat Ali Khan of Mitwa fame. Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghosal have also sung a duet like the hope song Aashayein in Iqbal.”

The movie is a story about love, loss, friendship, hope and ultimately, redemption. It has two principle characters from different walks of life whose lives entwine unexpectedly. Zeenat (Gul Panag), an independent, self-assured, married young woman, lives in a remote Himachal Pradesh village while Meera (Ayesha Takia) lives in rural Rajashtan within a conventional Rajput household.
