MUMBAI: IDream Independent Pictures will be showcasing five films at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
Additionally, the company has bought the international sales rights of debutante director Irfan Kamal’s Thanks Maa. The film has been nominated for the New Director Award and the Best New International Feature Award at the Edinburgh Film Festival where the film will have its UK premiere in June this year. This film will have its World Market Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
IDream Independent Pictures’ Cannes slate also includes films like Kunaal Roy Kapur’s The President is Coming, Sarba Das’ Karma Calling, Joseph Mathew Varghese’s Bombay Summer, and Rajiv Patil’s multi-award winner, marathi film Jogwa.
IDream Independent Pictures will have seven market screenings of these five films at the Cannes Market this year.
